returning back down the valley from san francisco. this weekend was a blitzkreig of dawn and drew mania, we saw the sights, heard the sounds and smelled the smells that the city of street cars and rice-a-roni had to offer. we spent saturday afternoon hanging out in the green room down at inside mac radio, then tried to watch some of the chinese new year parade from a second story border's cafe, finally ending saturday night at an "intimate spectacular circus" (it was a good time, you should all go and see it); we topped the weekend off on sunday with the big dawn and drew shindig at the tonga room - it was a blast, not to mention a veritable who's who of the podcasting a-list... curry, geoghegan, butler, gilmore, we were also graced by other heavyweights from our growing community like levin and starr...(i'm sorry - give me a minute to pick up all those names i just dropped.) i thought at first the invincibles might have to throw down with a couple whom we suspected might be our arch rivals, devon and kris from say yum, but they turned out to be really sweet and we just couldn't do it - so the sleeves were rolled back down, and a golden era of peace reigned over the world of culinary media... for now. everyone there was extremely friendly and sociable, but, while we were innocently minding our own business, where we were outed!!! it didn't take long for all the folks out there in podville to recognize our alter-egos as "moongirl" and "the professor". and shortly after that, the rest of the secrets flowed. i suppose it's a good thing that our parents already knew...
